Professor Larry Elin, associate professor of television-radio-film in the Newhouse School, discusses the film he produced with Susan Hynds, professor emeritus in the School of Education; "Black Males Black Dreams." The film explores the obstacles faced by African American males, including low academic achievement, an inner-city culture of hopelessness and poverty and the lack of black male role models in schools and professional life.
